About this Parachute
Story
I am requesting 12 parachutes for an event my Girl Scouts Troop is holding March 22, 2020. The Girl Scout Law says to Use Resources Wisely and Make the World a Better Place. Both can help the environment. At our event we are going to have all the girls help decorate our parachute with handprints, but would like to offer other troops to take a parachute for their troop to decorate. While we have the girls decorate the parachute, we will talk to them about ways to protect the environment. Some other ways my troop has been helping the environment are as follows:We have made a Leave no Trace poster for a Nature Center with Leave no Trace cards that can be clipped to backpacks. They have volunteered at the Flip-Flop Festival in Harpers Ferry, WV (Alternative ways to hike the Appalachian Trail but starting somewhere other than that top or bottom). They have also planted trees at local parks.
