About this Parachute
Story
My name is Grace Meinzer, I am a member of the Austin Climate Coalition. A group of Austin city youth just recently formed this coalition in response to the global Climate Crisis. We are planning to strike at the Texas State Capitol on September 20th in response to Greta Thunberg’s call for a September 20th strike. After the strike we plan to hold fundraising events to donate to organizations committed to tackle the root of the climate crisis. We would be delighted by the opportunity to obtain some free parachutes. We are flexible with the number of parachutes we might be able to receive but would like somewhere between 3-8. As we are a group of students, funding is currently one of our biggest challenges. We are diverting most of our funds to get permitting for our event. We are very inspired by your movement, and would love to be a part of it!
