About this Parachute
Story
I'm requesting parachutes on behalf of my new youth group- NoNameYouth. We are aged between 12-17. We often organise/lead/participate in climate youth strikes, and also work alongside Extinction Rebellion. We are also part of a community group called East Kent Climate Action. Together we have pushed 3 local councils to declare a climate emergency and set up committees to ensure our towns will be carbon neutral by 2025. We are now taking the fight to our Conservative MP by interviews, protests and sit ins in and outside his office to try to get the same action into central government. We would love to have two parachutes to enable our older members and art students design and one for our younger ones to design. We are all in full time education, and volunteer for many hours a week- and do not have much money, so our capabilities to design and create things are very limited which is why this would be a brilliant opportunity for us.
