About this Parachute
Story
Citizens' Climate Lobby Kalamazoo is committed to building the political will for a livable world. We advocate for national climate policy, and fully support the "Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act" of 2019. We are one of hundreds of CCL chapters in the US and around the world. These two parachutes were made during the Kalamazoo Earth Day Celebration in Bronson Park on April 20, 2019. The theme was 101,000 Acts of Green (as there are 101,000 households in Kalamazoo.)
Sustainable Actions in this Community
We do community outreach and education on climate solutions, meet regularly with our members of congress, write op-eds and letters to the editor, empower citizens' to become climate advocates - gathering constituent comments, letters, and organizing calls to congress on climate, and we reach out to community leaders, businesses to endorse our climate bill. Our chapter meets every 2nd Saturday in Kalamazoo to organize our local events and actions.
