About this Parachute
Story
It was created by Audubon Green Leaders with the community of Patterson Park in Baltimore during the annual Día del Niño festival on April 28, 2018. It depicts a Baltimore Oriole and an earth background. The color was added with children's hand prints. It is painted on a 12' play parachute. Green Leaders then led classroom presentations to inspire climate action for grades 5-8, and it was displayed in the school for the Hampstead Hill Academy community.
Sustainable Actions in this Community
There was a sustainable action pledge signed by students grades 5-8 and school staff. There was a bird friendly habitat created in the schoolyard and park.
