Story
Peregrine School is a non-profit private school in Davis, CA. Our mission is to educate children to be creative, critical thinkers. We utilize the latest research in child development to create child-centered, project-based programs that emphasize the natural sciences, the arts, outdoor education, and environmental and social responsibility.
Sustainable Actions in this Community
Our goal is to engage students in the habits and minds of scientists, rather than to teach them facts that scientists have already discovered. Young people have organized a climate march, built a orchard, gardens, honey bee habitat, a pollinator garden, we grow food for our student and our school chef. Gardening is incorporated into every subject. Climate change is a huge topic at Peregrine.
