My nonprofit swapdontshop.us host women’s clothing exchanges every season that aim to educate women on reducing their clothing footprint for a better climate. They’ve been hosting free events For 3 years up until this year; our first upscale ticketed event in May. We are a start up of volunteers and essentially my one woman show with an expensive hobby turned nonprofit.
Im working to bring in revenue by teaching mending workshops through TheclothingcoOp.com and going to sell an upcycled clothing line through the site soon with the help of a volunteer design team of women wanting to share the skill of sewing to reduce our clothing footprint and divert textiles from landfills.
All these seeds I’ve planted have Yet to bear fruit but the more I spread the word about my two businesses, the larger a positive impact o can make!
I’d use the parachute for that purpose at our upcoming Earth Week events with our local Scienceworks museum and Southern Oregon University.
Thank you for considering us for a Free parachute.
