About this Parachute
Story
I am working on this project with a teacher at Kenmoor MS in Landover, Md. It is a culminating activity for a 7th grade climate change unit of study. We will be marching at school and doing other environmental projects on that day. We will use social media to share our message with the local and global community. Thank you for being a resource in this area.
Sustainable Actions in this Community
Hal (6th) and Ezra (7th) are students at Kenmoor Middle School. They spoke at the 4/28 Board of Education meeting to support passage of the PGCPS Climate Change Action Plan. They took along with them an exhibit showing the parachute designed by students (Parachutes for the Planet is an international youth climate action movement). Sixth grade students signed the parachute to show their support for the passage of the CCAP. Read this great article in the Washington Post about this event and the CCAP.
